Hi-Ho Hotel 02:03
Hi-Ho Hotel I’m checking out of the Hi-Ho Hotel yeah, I’m checking out of the Hi-Ho Hotel I can’t sleep on the run and there’s no getting anything done I’m staring off into the darkness alive and unwell it’s too hot, it’s too cold and the shower’s all covered in mold I’m rolling another I’ve gotta get away from that smell yeah, I’m checking out, I’m checking out I’m checking out of the Hi-Ho Hotel it’s too black, it’s too white and you can’t see the stars for the light there’s Mars, there’s the Moon pretty soon fare-thee-well I’m pulling the sheets there’s no more repeats I’m ringing the buzzer I’m soon to be ringing the bell

I Don't Know 03:12
I Don’t Know Might have left it in that slow little town might have taken the long way around might have slipped, might have tripped might have let go might have drawn the card of achievement might have took it to be scarred by the treatment might be fighting, might be riding the tide or lost in the flow I don’t know… louder than a tin-eared drunkard wailing away in my bunker flailing away like I always do breathing the fumes of the summer being the blue lover’s lover dreams, are they coming true? maybe so I don’t know…
3.
Winds on the Ocean The bar was hopping selling toddies and beer new generation talking hotties in here and don’t they know it, don’t they know it’s alright everybody’s got their new deal shaking tonight they call me young man and it’s funny I guess I won’t be taking any part in the mess I done my fooling, now I’m just cooling it down got my schooling, I got no time for fooling around world don’t need another snake in the grass needs a brother, to step back and let it pass forward motion, winds on the ocean so roll it over roll it right down the line I’m not waiting for summertime I’ve been thinking, it’s time to shake it on down do my drinking, in the older parts of town world don’t need another good time snake in the grass needs a healer, with a half a tank of gas forward motion, winds on the ocean
4.
We Know Pillows We know pillows, feather and down and we know how to slumber when the hard times come around we know pillows, cotton and foam and we know how to leave it leave it all all alone we know pillows, we know pillows we know pillows don’t we? but we don’t know we one side frozen, and the other’s melting down one path is chosen and the other goes around and around but, oh the wonders, of hiding away you don’t have to go there and you don’t, no you don’t have to stay
5.
What Can I Do? What can I do, what can I do what can I do, what can I do for you what can I say, to make it OK to you what can I do, what can I do? with kisses to blow into the wind and the snow and a new wrong to right it’s keeping me up through the night and when they ask me “what do you want?” I don’t know what to say feel like running way into the distance starting anew there’s no getting out what can I do? and over we go where we’ll end up I don’t know with a new right to wrong lost in the words of your song don’t know where to go don’t know what to say babe, I don’t know if I can make it OK
6.
Lazy Laissez Faire Little voices hot and distraught caught in the void between what and what-not underemployed they long for the rush of the tide while they live in a bush waiting on wheels and a new bag of Kush and the roommates, they’re all home not a one fit to hire cooking up dogs all we need is a fire independence is clear I did the numbers, I swear it is what it is what it isn’t, I don’t care never gave no business card didn’t get a tattoo life is lovely, love is hard and that’s alright by you it’s on, it’s on ‘till it’s off it’s here, ‘till it’s there it is what it is at the lazy laissez faire it’s cool, it’s cool ‘till it’s cold can you haul me somewhere? it’s all good ‘till it’s old at the lazy laissez faire
7.
I Forgot to Get High I was so high, that I forgot to get high I had to turn back around and go back to get down crawl out of my skin spin the wheels again make it up on the fly and I forgot to get high across a crack in the walk and up the stumbling block I’m under the sky, and over the rock flush with wind, and friends with the mist to resist and deny that I forgot to get high
8.
One and Done 03:05
One and Done One and done, two and through three and I’m not me walking around, wearing a groove in the hood it’s all coming down, or already gone, it’s no good I wanna believe, I wanna belong wanna grieve yeah and maybe I should taking a seat, bringing it in from the cold I won a retreat, yeah but the flight oversold I gotta stand-by, if I wanna fly but the truth is the lie’s getting old and I wouldn’t mind the ride if you were right by my side and I wouldn’t feel the thunder in our wonder satisfied one and done, two and through three and I’m not true and I wouldn’t mind the ride if you were right by my side and I wouldn’t feel the thunder in our wonder I could hide one and done, two and through three and I’m still blue
9.
Good Grief 03:32
Good Grief Going out, no relief, staying in, good grief take it on the chin, or strike first rock & roll, like it’s all rehearsed you know that tree? where the birds go to sing and all the cats go to feast I stopped by there today in a terrible way when will we find peace on the ice, face first a busted eye, but it could have been worse I didn’t break a lense, just lost a screw if I can get a cleanse, gonna make it on through you know that wall? that we scaled just to fall we failed but we tried at least I was back there today in a terrible way when will we find peace you know that stream? where we dreamed a little dream just as the dogs were released well I sat there today in a terrible way trying to find, a little peace
10.
Undershared 03:28
Undershared I might be suspicious, I might be scared I might have lost consciousness, might have stared straight into the beauty, lost track of my duty I might have undershared might have under-connected, overprotected might have defected, neglected, rejected I might get the needle, might get the chair and I might have undershared a monkey’s descendant, a sinner repentant an angel engaging, with a page-turner raging it might be imperfect, might be impaired and I might have undershared
11.
Refusing to Bathe I’m refusing to bathe in a bath of sorrow I’m glad for what is, what was, and what could be tomorrow I’m refusing to bathe in a river of sadness we’ve been through the worst I’m looking forward to goodness and gladness somewhere, someway, somehow sometime, someday, for now I’m refusing to bathe in an ocean so hopeless gonna sit by the fire, rebuild and rewire more smokeless somewhere, someway, somehow sometime, someday, right now I hope it’s OK I’m refusing to bathe in a bath of sorrow I’m glad for what is, what was, and what will be tomorrow
